First and foremost, you need to drag the “pin it button” to your bookmarks bar on your browser.
Whenever you’ve found some products to pin on Pinterest, just push the “pin it” button.
If there are more than one image on the same page, a thumbnail gallery will appear for you to choose.
Click on the image you wish to pin, another window will pop up asking you to choose which pinboard to pin to and what is the description for the image.
In the description box, you can type in 500 characters. Use this wisely to encourage “repin”ning by other pinners.
When all typing is done, click “pin it”. A pop-up window appears asking if you need to “see your pin” or “tweet your pin”, Don’t tweet your pin yet. Click “see you pin”. This pin will show up on your own Pinterest account. On top of the image, you have an option to “edit” it. Change your link to your affiliate links, then click “save pin”. This time you can facebook like it, tweet it or write some comments.
As for the affiliate links, most often the affiliate links are so long that they stretch to a few lines, one way to cure this is to use URL Shorteners such as bitly.com or tinyurl.com.
