learning web design beginner's guide to html, css, javascript and web graphics
There are numerous aspects of website designing which must be looked after while a website is designed, whether you wish to do them yourself or you want to take help of a website designer. Here we have listed top 7 website designing tips and tricks which you should use while designing your site, whether it is a dynamic website design, flash website design or only a simple static website design.

1.Think small, like 10-12KB per picture.

It’s a well known fact that most of the users today have fast internet connections, but still pages that load slow are annoying. Heavy pictures are a responsible for slow pages. Small images are also easy to optimize.

2. The graphics used must fit the content.

If you have an amazing photograph of your dog then this does not mean that you need to have it on your site. Photographs or graphics should aid in forming the design of the page, and must be meant to illustrate the content.

3.Do not use images that flash, rotate, change, move or blink or do anything unusual on your page.

Try to use such elements sparingly.
Many researchers have concluded that flashing graphics are annoying and distracting to the users. In fact, some sites use them to such an extent that users will need to cover them up physically in order to read the remaining portion of the page.

4.Follow standard layouts.

Some pages are using 6 or 8 frames per page. Some sites use a layout where you have to scroll off to the right in order to read the complete page(but never you have to scroll down). Such layouts are adorable, and you may find them fun to assemble, but they will drive your readers nuts. The reason why the 3-column layout is a popular layout is that it brings in the greatest ROI. You may believe that it is boring, but you will be able to keep more readers interested in your site if you simply stick to simple layouts that users understand.

5.Use your images as elements in your layouts.

Graphics when used as actual elements in the layout can be more interesting. A good example would be when you wrap the text around an image, but any image you have on your website is a layout element and should be treated as such.

6.Avoid having different fonts.
One of the finest ways to make your Web site seem amateurish is to change the font over and over. Limiting your pages to 2 or possibly 3 normal font families makes them easier to read and more professional.

Do not be greedy.
If you can have any control over the amount of ads on your website, remember that your readers are not coming to read the ads, they are visiting your website for the content that you have. If the ads overpower the actual content of the page then it is more likely that the readers wouldn’t stay for long to read your content or the offer. Yes, it is critical to make money; however, if ads are driving people away, you will finally lose the customer as well as the money.

Avoid flashing/blinking, keep ads small and try to keep them useful. If the content is related to your readers, the chances are more that they will click the ad.
